Health Services and Outcomes Research Director

Camcare Health System is seeking a Health Services and Outcomes Research
Director to play a primary leadership role in directing the strategic planning
and implementation of health services delivery research and outcomes
assessment/research.  The Director will provide support to Camcare entities in
effectiveness research and evaluation methodologies and in patient and
organizational research efforts.  The Director's responsibilities will also
include oversight of the development and implementation of outcomes,
functional status, quality evaluation studies and support services for
research data management and research computing.

Camcare, a comprehensive, integrated health delivery system, is located in
West Virginia's capitol city.  The system includes a multi-campus medical
center (Charleston Area Medical Center) of more than 900 beds; an affiliated
network of ten rural hospital locations; a home haelth services company; and a
health maintenance organization.  Through its affiliation with West Virginia
University School of Medicine, Charleston Area Medical Center provides a
diversified teaching center and clinical setting for the promotion of
research.

Candidates should have a doctoral degree (MD or PhD in public health,
statistics, epidemiology, community health or biological, behavioral or health
sciences), with 3-5 years of progressive, responsible experience in
organizational management, project and product development, applied research
and institutional experience in health services and outcomes assessment or
research.  The Director will play a pivotal role in the development of a
Center for Health Services and Outcomes Research, which will serve the Camcare
system and the West Virginia community.
