SPIN, IRIS Lisa Richman 02 Jun 1995 10:55 EST

I believe that both SPIN and IRIS will permit you to "try them on for size"
 prior to purchasing!
This issue is important... pay attention to:

 - user-ease
 - date (timeliness) of records
 - ability to compile, print, send lists and reports to your faculty
 - ability to search on keywords that are "meaningful" to YOUR faculty - and
come up with "hits"
 - ability to compile "deadline" reports for distribution (perhaps a monthly
hitlist of deadline dates for funding agencies sent to your departments)
