To AUTM members and subscribers of Resadm-L:
I am currently in the process of trying to get approval for additional
staffing for our Tech Transfer office. We would like to add a position
which could be responsible for the following:
Assisting with the marketing of inventions to industry, including
identifying potential licensees, initiating contact, preparing and
distributing promotional materials.
Working with the faculty, research library and computer database
resources to identify potential licensees in the invention field of use.
Conducting preliminary negotiations for Licensing agreements and other
related agreements relevant to technology transfer.
Monitoring performance of licensees to insure diligence provisions are
met.
Preparing routine amendments to agreements, giving notice and processing
termination of agreements as required.
Assisting with the maintenance of computer database to track evaluation,
patenting, marketing, and maintenance functions for inventions.
Assisting with the preparation of financial and status reports.
Assisting in the coordination and monitoring of patent filing and
prosecution.
Assisting with the preparation of correspondence for the office.
Assisting with general office support tasks as needed for the efficient
operation of the office.
If your office has a similar position and you are able to share such
information, I would be very interested in knowing how the position is
classified within your organization, its title, job level, salary range and
Qualifications.
I welcome any information you may be able to share by e-mail or by fax. IF
AT ALL POSSIBLE PLEASE TRY TO LET ME KNOW SOMETHING BY TUESDAY MAY 2nd.
Thanks!
