Research: Associate Director, Office of Research Services
The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research seeks candidates for an
Associate Director reporting to the Director, Office of Research Services.
This position is responsible for the oversight of a staff of five program
coordinators reponsible for proposal development. Major responsibilities
include: planning and implementing campus research development programs
across all disciplines, targeting research development efforts within an
institution of higher education; increasing federal, state, and corporate
support for faculty research projects; developing and maintaining networks
of contact within sponsoring organizations for the purpose of cultivating
and expanding potential funding sources; and marketing research proposals
to potential sponsors.
Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to work and communicate with
faculty. A minimum of three years experience in program and proposal
development and/or program and project management is required; experience in
acquiring research funding from federal government, industry and foundations
for an institution of higher education is highly desirable. Candidates must
possess a master's degree, a Ph.D. is preferred.
