At the University of Louisville, the responsibility for managing intellectual
property activities on campus was transferred early this year from the Office
of Business Affairs/Administration to the Office of the Vice President for
Research (Research Administration/Sponsored Programs). In addition to our
usual duties involving Univ. grants and contracts we are now dealing with all
aspects of the tech transfer process (ie., invention disclosures, patent
development, licensing/commercialization) with fundamental support from
Research Corporation Technologies (RCT). We welcome all words of
wisdom/advise/reassurance from those of you with more experience in this area.
