Do any of you have written policies regarding the appointment of
research professors. Are they appointed to a department, who screens
the appointment, who determines rank and promotion, do they advise
graduate students/ chair dissertation committees, vote on curricular
issues, etc. I'm interested in copies of your policies. Would you FAX
them to me at the number below. I would be glad to pass copies to
anyone else who is interested in the information.
