As long as the respective dean and the provost's office approve
the summer assignment, a faculty member is allowed to be on IPA
Assignment during the summer, at 1/9 of his academic-year salary.
Since I see the IPA Assignment Agreement as a legal binding document
between the government and the University, I see no reason to change
this document.  What kind of a "contract" did you have in mind?
