Grant Tracking Rebecca B. Bacon 15 Feb 1995 06:52 EST

What is "outyear" funding?

In response to the other questions, yes we "track" faculty effort. At
the time of in-house grant review, I usually go to our "funded" files
and add up faculty effort on projects I know about. This gives me a ball
park of their commitments. It's not always reliable.

No, to my knowledge, we do not track facility usage. We've gone round and
round about initiating this effort (for any number of reasons) but to date
it hasn't materialized.

I work in the pre-award office. We do enter total funding into a database
which tracks awards as specified in the terms of the initial notice. It's
updated as amendments are made. Our databse tracks "expected" revenues.
The post-award office tracks actual receipts.
