Am interested in knowing if any Research Administrators at the level of
DIRECTOR have signature authority for the institution. If so, does the
institution impose any limitations. That is, signature authority up to a
certain funding level and beyond that a higher official's signature must be
obtained.

Rebecca,
I am Director of the Office of Sponsored Projects and was given
signature authority just last year. However, it is understood that I will
use this authority only when the Associate Provost for Graduate Studies
and Research (APGSR) is not available to sign. The Provost and another
Associate Provost are also authorized to sign, but they are used only
when the APGSR and I are not available.
