To my friends and colleagues (some of you may already know this news...)
I have tendered my resignation at the University of Massachusetts Medical
Center and beginning February 1, 1995 I will be moving to Maryland to be the
Manager of Technology Transfer for Human Genome Sciences, Inc., a private,
for-profit biotech company.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with this
company, HGS is involved in sequencing genes from the human genome as part of
a broader business plan to research and develop proteins (drugs) for
