Colleagues,

What has been your experience in seeking deviation approvals from NSF on
proposal format?  My understanding is that NSF requires that requests be
formal and approvals in writing.  Approvals must accompany the proposal.

My primary interest is in including Appendices and deviating from the
required format portions of NSF's proposal guidelines.  Are any of your faculty
requesting such approvals?  If yes, are they being approved?
