Another voice from Missouri!  I agree with Spanky.  Keep it on the
academic side, remembering that much still depends on attitudes and
personal relationships.  At St. Louis U, research administration
(pre-award) is part of the graduate school, reporting to the academic
vice president.  Post award is in the treasurer's office.
