So do we here in Australia. Charities and non-profit organisations will not
recognise indirect costs as legitimate research costs. They are prepared to
meet the costs of people employed from grant funds, but they will not
recognise apportionments of the time of existing University staff, such as
human resources, accounting and secretarial personnel.
