According to the latest NSF bulletin, the Presidential Faculty Fellows
program is still using last year's brochure, NSF 93-114.  So the guidelines
will be the same as last year.  The deadline is listed as November 4.
On a related matter, concerning the new CAREER program:  I understood that
the individual directorates were planning to issue guidelines for this
program specific to each directorate.  The folks I've talked to at NSF say
yes, the guidelines will be issued, but they don't know when.  The deadline
for most of the directorates is October 17.  Does anyone have any updated
