Subject: Position Announcement

 The Research Foundation of State University of New York at Binghamton
announces the recruitment for a half-time, job share professional Grant and
Contract Administrator.  I request your cooperation in distributing this
announcement to appropriate departments.

 CONTRACT AND GRANT ADMINISTRATOR

 The position in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, Sponsored
Program Development department is responsible for assisting faculty with
development of proposals.  Includes identifying sources of support, budgeting,
overseeing transmittal of proposals and ensuring compliance with university
policy and sponsoring agency requirements.   Interface with federal agencies,
industrial sponsors and private foundations.  Negotiate/review terms and
conditions on contracts and awards.

 Requires Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred); previous higher education,
SUNY and or Research Foundation experience desirable.  Experience with
computers, organizational, communication, writing/editorial skills required.
Knowledge of grants, contracts and granting agencies helpful.  Experience in a
busy, service-oriented office is desirable.

 Closing date for applications is October 7, 1994.  Position available
immediately.  This position is a half time, permanent job share, salary
$14,000-17,000.
