We recently have been trying to negotiate with EFA regarding its patent
and copyright policy.  I am interested to learn what other institutions
have been able to negotiate to get a waiver of this policy.   Because
they do not pay overhead, are not willing to share in the cost of filing
patents, or in the cost of marketing we view the EFA policy a little
extreme and overreaching.  Has anyone had any success in getting rid of it
entirely, or modifying it to be more realistic and in line with most
university patent and copyright policies?
