Subject:  Signature Authority

At the University of Maryland at Baltimore, Office of Sponsored Programs
Administration signatory authority is as follows:  All proposals which would
result in a grant award (e.g. NIH, NSF, etc.) are signed by three grants
and contract administrators.  All proposals which would result in a contract
award are signed by me (Director).  All contracts negotiated by OSPA including
contracts with the federal government, state, city and the for-profit sector
for basic research agreements and clinical testing agreements are signed by
me (Director).  I also sign all material transfer agreements and when used
confidential disclosure agreements.  I also sign Visiting Scientist Agreements.
Licensing Agreements require the signature of the President of UMAB.  Hope
this helps you in your quest for signature authority.
