Note to Doug Wilkerson:

For many years, the University of Notre Dame published an extensive "Annual
Report on Research and Other Scholarly Works" which included sections on
academic profiles, faculty interests, honors, invited lectures and papers
read, special fellowships and awards, professional committee and board
memberships, professional offices and service, publications,and awards
received.

During the last years of this publication, all we had available for initial
production was one word processing machine.  I can only imagine how much
easier the entire process would be with today's technology!

An additional benefit that you did not mention, Doug, was that we were told
by NSF that they used it as a tool to identify potential reviewers.

If I can find a extra copy of the report, I will send it to you.
