  OFFICE MEMO          Advancement vs Grants Office           Date:7/6/94
When I asked for information on where the grants office is located in each of
your institutions I also asked for input on the the division of labor between
grants offices and advancement offices.  The replies that I have received this
morning have shown that this issue is a much larger one than I first realized,
and we should probably open up this issue for general discussion. (I had no
idea that the problem was so universal).
Thanks to those who have replied already; I'll continue to compile any info. I
receive on where people are located and who they report to.
