Hi friends!

Maybe I'm just cranky today, but I'm wondering if we could put some
parameters on how we respond to requests for or offers of information on
this list.  I think its probably getting big enough now that each of us
should consider how many others are on this list and whether everyone
needs to see our reply.

What has brought this today up is an offer by someone to share the OMB
interpretation of administrative and clerical salaries.  That has been
followed by numerous postings from individuals who want that document.
Could you please just send your request to the individual offering
the document instead of posting to the entire list?

I also think it is useful when collecting information, to volunteer
to collect it as an individual and post a summary to the list.  I note
that someone just offered to do that on an issue.

Just my two cents...   My point is not to stifle the exchange of
info, but to channel it as the situation warrants.
