Auburn University solicits applications and nominations for the Director of
Contracts and Grants Administration. Auburn University is a comprehensive
Land-Grant University committed to the pursuit of excellence through
teaching, research and extension. Auburn University had a total organized
research program of approximately $70 million in FY 93. The position
reports to the Associate Provost and Vice President for Research and has
administrative responsibility for all aspects of pre- and post-awards
except for the accounting responsibilities.
Qualifications: Minimum of a B.S. degree with 7 years of direct or related
experience working in grant and contract administration or a master's
degree with 6 years of equivalent experience. University experience is
preferred.
Salary: Competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
The position requires:
* management and administration of a seven person Office of Contracts
and Grants Administration.
* review, negotiation, and approval of proposals and contracts on
behalf of the University.
* expertise in and working knowledge of federal regulations and
funding agencies regulations.
* assisting the faculty with proposal preparation and pre-award and
post-award administration of sponsored projects.
