AT MTSU, we just instituted a new policy July 1, 1993.  1/3 of the
indirect cost stays with th general fund; 1/3 is allocated to the Vice
President for Academic Affairs; 1/6 to the initiating college; and 1/6
to the initiating department.  The funds are to be used for furthering
research.  We, too, do not have a great amount of indirect cost funds
since we are in the second year of my office and just beginning to
increase the number of federal proposals
