OFFICE MEMO Internal E-mail systems Date:5/17/94
At Yale, we use QuickMail. It works well on Macs, but my understanding is that
it's a bit more difficult, although do-able, in an IBM environment. We love it
here--the Grants Office is at the edge of the campus, but we don't feel
isolated because we can communicate electronically with anyone else who has the
service (most central administrative offices are subscribers, as are many
academic department offices and some PI's). I export to e-mail through
QuickMail and receive external messages the same way I receive QuickMail
messages from Yale users. Our office doesn't use pink message slips any
more--it's all done on the computer!
