Fringe benefit rates have increased for persons paid from grants at State
 Universities in Illinois.  At WIU, Health/life/dental benefits charged to
 the grant/contract range from $370-$570 per month depending on the number
 of dependents and type of program chosen.  Retirement is calculated in
 addition to these benefits at 9.64% x salary.

 No fringes are charged for graduate and undergraduate students.
 Health/life/dental is not charged to the grant at all if the person
 receives at least 50% of his/her salary from another non-grant University
 account (e.g. a P.I. gets 50% salary from teaching and 50% from the
 grant--no health/life/dental charged to the grant).
