The Chronicle article may have something to do with the House version of
the NSF reauthorization bill.  On Monday via the xxxxxx@nsf.gov list the
information about the House reauthorization included this "Rep. Gerald
Solomon from Upstate New York offered an amendment to deny NSF support to
any institution which deny or effectively prevent military recruiters entry
to campuses subject to existing applicable law.  The amendment was agreed to
by voice vote."

Maybe Gerry is adding this to all the federal reauthoization bills.  We're
so lucky here in New York ... although Dan Quayle is from Indiana...
