Using Reply Liz Mazzella 15 Apr 1994 07:17 EST

A few more error messages have popped up and since we have quite
a few members since my last treatise on this subject (over 150 now...

Please remember, DO NOT use your e-mail's "reply" feature to respond
to messages on RESADM-L-- many "reply" features tack on the message
to which you are responding in its entirety and this causes
two problems --1) the mailreader on our listserver gets confused
because there are two "TO:" lines and two "FROM:" lines in such
a reply message --one set from the reply and one set from the
tacked-on message. 2) Tacking on entire messages makes for
lenghthy messages which, when the list is busy can really bog things
down.

If you want to be sure we all know what message you are replying to
use the same subject heading in your response or "clip" pertinent
text from the original message and include it with your response.

Activity on this list has been great - I hope you are all happy with
it.

Thanks!
