 POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

 TITLE          GRANTS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

 RESPONSIBILITIES       Pre- and post- award research administration
 duties for a number of sponsor agencies

 QUALIFICATIONS         Baccalaureate required, with advance degree
 preferred, and at least 3 years experience in similar work
 demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility. Ability to work
 independently

 Knowledge of Federal regulations, invention and copyright issues,
 operating principles of research grant and contract clauses suitable
 for a university, and ability to negotiate intelligently with external
 and internal clientele.

 Must have excellent communication skills, proficiency in interpersonal
 techniques, ability to reconcile differing viewpoints, and must be
 able to function effectively in periodic crisis environments .

 SALARY:        Commensurate with experience and qualifications
