As I said, we have been able to negotiate changes to some "standard" language
which makes provisions for the PI leaving, or Rutgers not completeting the
reports for the prime, etc, but for some schools, this is not good enough.

My REAL frustration stems from clause like this:

"Title to equipment purchased under this agreement will reside with
University.  Upon termination of the grant, Subcontractor's need for the
equipment purchased hereunder will be taken into account when determining
disposition of title."

This language coupled with having to talk with someone who negotiates subs
only as part of a much larger job (i.e. these are not a primary concern),
makes for a very frustrating experience.
