What do other institutions that are part of a larger system do when program
guidelines require only one submission per institution? We've been awfully
frustrated here at Indiana University, as it seems more and more programs are
limiting submissions to one per institution.
We've been handling it by calling the sponsors/program officers and asking if
the "one per" means the whole 8-campus system, or "one per" each campus. It
shouldn't be a surprise that we get different answers even from the same
sponsor. And occasionally when we've been told to submit one per campus, we've
had the sponsor call to tell us we've submitted too many proposals!
Each of our campuses has its own chancellor, its own accreditation, its own
degree programs. We all share one president and one Board of Trustees, and one
entity number.
Any advice?
