Rejected messages Liz Mazzella 10 Mar 1994 12:32 EST

A quick reminder, I have seen several rejected messages errors on
RESADM-L because people appear to be using "reply" functions in their
e-mail to respond to RESADM-L postings. PLEASE, do not use "reply"
as it confuses the listserver because it puts a second set of
TO: and FROM: designations when it repeats the message being
replied to. This confuses the server and it doesn't know where
to send the mail. Also, it results in your reply having the entire
text of the message you are reponding to appended --this can
really increase the amount of space mail is taking up on recipient's
systems --

Instead of using "reply" start a new email message with the same
subject line as the one your are responding to --or clip
a section of the original message into your response message.

Let me know if you experience problems.

Also, SRA just put out a special edition newsletter, this is not the
one RESADM-L is mentioned in --keep an eye out for the next
issue.
