FYI, the referenced AUTM Association of University Technology Manager
1994 national meeting would be a good opportunity for Research Administrators
to obtain an introduction and/or update on university technology transfer.

I realize that travel budgets are very limited, and research administrators
are already locked into SRA or NCURA, but for those of you in the Phoenix
area, this might be a worthwhile day trip.

AUTM also sponsors summer regional meetings, that are traditionally less formal
and less expensive than the national meeting.

Last summer Indiana University hosted the central region meeting and I sent
out invitations to university research offices in our state.  Several
universities did send representatives and they found the meeting to be
very beneficial.  As noted earlier on this network, many universities have
combined "duties".  Not to be too cutsie, but the Central Region titled the
93 conference "Technology Transfer:  A Contact Sport", so it is only
natural that we advocate "CROSS TRAINING."

I will make a note to post the dates of the summer regional meetings.
