There is a book available that is a compilation of 10 or 12 successful
federal proposals. It costs about $100 and is a rip-off as your
researchers, if they work far enough in advance, can usually get
copies of successful proposals from the appropriate program officers.
There are other that arenot as pricey- The proposal writer's swipe
file fromthe Taft Group. It's not as expensive and is useful as
a quickie "this is what it looks like."
There are lots of really superficial boks out there, some
from professional organizations and others from state agencies.
they are all very similar. If you find something YOU like, please
let me know, as I teach a course in this and am always looking
foruseful texts.
