UC San Diego implemented a new ERA system in January (Kuali Research).  We also just implemented a new payroll system over the weekend (PeopleSoft) and are implementing a new financial system in July (Oracle Financial Cloud w/ Oracle Grants Management).  Currently, we are integrating Kuali with both our payroll and have custom integrations with our homegrown financial system.

Our new financial system (Oracle) doesn't yet feed information into our ERA system, but it will when we go live this summer & include integrations between the KR award and subaward modules.  Our KR implementation currently has multiple upstream and downstream systems & business processes integrations including Cognos & Tableau (for reporting/analytics), Active Directory, Shibboleth, ServiceNow, Kuali Build, Kuali Conflict of Interest, etc.  Additional integrations are in the works to support research compliance w/ CITI training, SumTotal and Kuali Protocols.

We've had few problems so far & realized significant benefits since going live in January w/ many more on the horizon as we retire legacy 40+ year old mainframe systems and standardize on SaaS for all enterprise systems/services.  More details available here > https://esr.ucsd.edu/
