We have an exciting opening available for Director of Research Integrity in beautiful Southern Maine.

Summary:  Under direction of the Associate Provost for Research and Scholarship, the Director of Research Integrity performs assigned professional duties to coordinate and direct the UNE Research Integrity program, which oversees the development and implementation of UNE policies and procedures for compliance with federal, state and local regulations regarding research including; human subject use, animal subjects care and use, biohazards, radiation safety, scientific misconduct, research conflicts of interest, and research privacy. The DRI is UNE’s subject matter expert is all areas of research compliance, and works to keep the UNE policies and procedures up to date with federal guidelines for conduct of research and helps promote and maintain research compliance at UNE by conducting educational outreach to faculty and students. Additionally, the DRI is responsible for reporting to the Federal PHS research officials in regard to UNE research activities and serves as a member and representative on all UNE research boards: Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Institutional Biosafety Board (IBC). Finally, the DRI provides primary day to day administrative support for UNE’s Human Subjects Protection Program.
