The Veterans Medical Research Foundation (VMRF) is seeking a Contracts and Grants Post Award Administrator to join our team in San Diego! Please read below for job details and instructions to apply: Position Title: Contracts and Grants Post Award Administrator Position posting date: 01/11/2019 Position start date: ASAP or until filled Salary/Range: Dependent on Experience (DOE) Status: Casual (40 hours per/wk.), benefits eligible Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm Service/Division: CORE Research Administration/Contracts and Grants Post Award Qualifications Summary: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in related field and at least 1 year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in sponsored programs administration is preferred. Must have knowledge of Federal regulations 2 CFR 200. Proficient in Mathematics; Microsoft Word, Excel, Financial Edge or other fund accounting software. Ability to manage a complex workload with multiple competing demands and intense deadline pressure. Job Description Summary: Advises Principal Investigators (PIs) on the overall status of all funding sources relevant to their portfolio of projects. Monitors, communicates and coordinates with PIs on budget management, procurement, salary administration, billing and collections, technical and financial reporting, cost-transfers, effort reporting, and other post-award research administration issues. Maintains budgets, reviews, approves, and processes expenditures in accordance with funding source regulations and VMRF policies and procedures. Forecasts financial scenarios. Makes sound recommendations for spending plans. Prepares monthly financial reports. Reviews, approves, and processes allowable cost transfers, labor redistributions, and journal entries. Invoices for cost reimbursable sponsored projects on a monthly basis. Prepares and reconciles sub-award and Industry Sponsor invoicing. Performs sub-recipient monitoring. Monitors cash flow on a monthly basis. Tracks progress report submission deadlines. Ensures that all interim and final technical, financial, and invention reporting, as required by the funding agency, is accurate and is completed in a timely manner. Prepares and executes all necessary documentation for sub-award (consortium) agreements. Responsible for coordinating and managing the closeout process for sponsored awards. May perform additional duties as required.
