Dear Colleagues;

We have been asked to develop and use a rubric or scale to "score" the quality of external grant proposals that are submitted.  We will use this as a benchmark for evaluating our progress towards improving our success ratio. We currently request proposals at least 5 business days prior to submission deadlines, but some are in better shape than others when we receive them. Part of our scoring will reflect factors related to how early and how much we were involved in the development of the submission.
