Salary Confidentiality Agreements?

Hello,
Our university is a private institution and (unlike state institutions in Florida) our salary information is not made publicly available. Our office would like to know if other sponsored program office staff in similar institutions are required to sign confidentiality agreements with regards to protecting faculty/staff salary information. Ultimately, salary information and effort is submitted to the sponsor via Fastlane, grants.gov, etc, which may make such agreements moot as that information is then made available to others outside of our institution (or copies of the final submission are made available and/or distributed to others on the project team). Any feedback from would be appreciated, thank you!
