Grant & Contract Administrator (REQ123905)

The Grant & Contract Administrator is a member of the Pre-Award team in the University's central Office of Sponsored Projects. The incumbent provides direct services to faculty, department managers and all members of the research community.  Primary responsibilities include reviewing and approving proposals, negotiating and accepting awards and issuing subawards under Brown prime agreements. The Contract Administrator oversees a diverse portfolio of departments, centers and institutes funded by a variety of federal and non-federal agencies.  The position offers an excellent opportunity to gain a broad exposure to research policy and compliance matters and to work with a number of related offices to support the delivery of efficient and effective research administration services. There will be ample opportunities to participate in development and delivery of training and outreach programs.

Subcontract & Pre-Award Administrator (REQ123816)

This position manages a comprehensive program for meeting the regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to Brown’s portfolio of subrecipient and pre-award sponsored research activity. The incumbent will oversee all aspects of Subrecipient Monitoring to ensure policy and procedures are consistent with the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) as well as the requirements of the Uniform Federal Guidance (2 CFR 200), non-federal and University policies. The Administrator will review, verify and perform risk assessment to support issuance of subawards and s/he will serve at both the proposal and award stage to facilitate the timely completion of subaward agreements. Additionally, s/he will review and accept grant awards from PHS, NSF, and DoD or other common sponsors.
