Although this doesn't address the question of whether it is possible to sub to a federal agency on a federal award, keep in mind the option of funding the other agency through a direct distribution. This is how I have seen it done most often. There are appropriation law problems with an agency obtaining funds from a private company (the money normally cannot be kept by the agency but must go back to "miscellaneous receipts" in the Treasury). Also issues with Sovereign immunity, direction of the governmental function by non-government actors, etc. Another way when two agencies are involved is to "MIPR" the money from the prime agency to the other agency direct with an interagency MOU. Good afternoon all, I'm writing in hopes you might share how your institution ensures compliance with the requirements to register and report trial results within clinicaltrials.gov. Are there policies in place that outline internal consequences for not registering or reporting results of eligible trials within the required time frame? Most of the policies I have come across reference the potential FDA and ICMJE sanctions-civil monetary fines, withholding or recovery of grant funds, inability to publish results, etc. A few go on to say noncompliance may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination, but I have not yet found anything more prescriptive that details how this is practically applied. Our institution has discussed managing this on an escalation basis such that frequency and severity are taken into consideration (for example, an isolated delay in reporting would not be viewed as egregiously as chronically failing to report at all), but any and all feedback is certainly appreciated. It highlights the complexity and unique nature of our organizations. For schools that allocate a share to the PI, how do you do this and what parameters do you put around their use of the funds? For the purpose of my study, I just needed to report something at a meeting verbally and have data to back it up if challenged. So, it's not pretty. However, what was offered is attached. A couple of folks were kind enough to share some lists that had been collected in the past. We also compiled a list from the individual responses that came in. (Thank you Robin Lewis and Mitzi Sicking) If you look at what we collected and what has been collected in the past, one thing is consistent... we as a community are NOT consistent! Redistribution of indirects ranges from tabu to distributing all the money and having the units pay all their own expenses. Each institution is marching to the beat of their own drummers. -Jennifer Jennifer Shambrook, Ph.D. Director of Research Programs and Services Office of Research & Commercialization University of Central Florida 12201 Research Parkway, Suite 501 Orlando, FL 32826-3246 [cid:image002.png@01CE86FD.CE167830] Phone: (407)823-0387 Fax: (407)823-3299 xxxxxx@ucf.edu<mailto:xxxxxx@ucf.edu> Email secured by Check Point
======================================================================
Instructions on how to use the RESADM-L Mailing List, including
subscription information and a web-searchable archive, are available
via our web site at http://www.healthresearch.org (click on the
"LISTSERV" link in the upper right corner)

A link directly to helpful tips: http://tinyurl.com/resadm-l-help
<http://tinyurl.com/resadm-l-help%3cbr%3e> ======================================================================
Email secured by Check Point
======================================================================
Instructions on how to use the RESADM-L Mailing List, including
subscription information and a web-searchable archive, are available
via our web site at http://www.healthresearch.org (click on the
"LISTSERV" link in the upper right corner)

A link directly to helpful tips: http://tinyurl.com/resadm-l-help
======================================================================
------------------------------ Date: Wed, 20 Apr 2016 20:22:51 +0000 From: "Remotigue, Robyn" <xxxxxx@UNTHSC.EDU> Subject: Re: Subcontracting To Federal Agency My experience in subcontracting with a federal agency has been the use of a CRADA - Cooperative Research And Development Agreement.
