DESCRIPTION: The Sponsored Projects Accounting Manager is responsible for day to day management of financial activities, financial reporting, and supervision of staff in Brown University’s central Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP). This position works with the Director of OSP and other senior staff members to ensure effective management of sponsored research post-award activities and assures compliance with federal, state, and private regulations concerning research grants/contract terms & conditions. S/he will analyze & interpret federal agency rules, regulations, and changes in regulations, provide policy guidance, and assist and advise faculty and staff on sponsored research grant/contract management & compliance. S/he will also coordinate financial reporting to funding agencies, and insure administrative & fiscal obligations to funding agencies are met. This position will participate in research administration and financial system functional requirements assessment and implementation and assist with testing and implementation of functionality.
