Please share this information with your faculty, students, and administrators that conduct research involving human subjects or work with the Institutional Review Board.
The Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) will be holding a Research Community Forum at Governors State University in the Chicago, IL area "Human Subjects Research: Challenges in the Modern Research World".
Dr. Elizabeth Buchanan will be the keynote speaker and the title of her presentation will be "A New Internet Research Ethics Program."
The date of the event is July 28, 2015 and it will be a one-day event. The registration for this event is very reasonable at $110 for early registration before June 14, 2015.

Dr. Ivor Pritchard from OHRP will be providing a plenary session entitled "The SUPPORT Trial and Beyond". Break-out sessions will include topics on Special Consideration for the Review of Qualitative Research Protocols, Data Sharing and Consent, Innovations in Informed Consent, Economic Disadvantage in Human Subjects Research, Clinical Data Research Networks, etc.
The co-sponsors for this event are OHRP, Governors State University, DePaul University, Illinois State University, Indiana State University, Northwestern University, and Rush University Medical Center.
