Re: personal vs. institutional CDAs

We require institutional CDAs as often the CDA will reference Florida Hospital and the investigator is not authorized to bind the institution to any legal agreement. We encourage all of our investigators to submit CDAs to my office as the specific institutional terms can be entered and the confidential information can be legally shared amongst the investigator's staff or sub-investigators that might be interested in participating. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me.

Subject: [Caution: Message contains Redirect URL content] [RESADM-L] personal vs. institutional CDAs
What reasons do folks have for preferring institutional to personal CDAs? Institutional agreements allow sharing with co-workers, they give me an introduction to the contracting office, and I expect the institution's resources are being used during disclosure, but are there more formal, legal reasons recommending an institutional CDA? I have accepted personal CDAs. thanks!
