George Washington Carver Lecture Series Edward Gabriele 17 Oct 2014 13:19 EST

Colleagues,

I want to pass on to you an educational opportunity that relates directly to our work in research, human development, and ethical formation.

On Oct 30th, there is going to be a very special and extremely rich lecture series on food and nutrition science at Tuskegee: The George Washington Carver Lecture Series.

Dedicated to the living legacy of George Washington Carver, Dean Walter Hill has put together a fantastic faculty from the federal government, retired military, and food companies in the US — let alone other higher education faculty.

Especially for those of us who are interested in or work in research and ethics regarding “agro-healing” and its relationship to those who suffer from trauma (including Wounded Warriors and their families), this promises to be a most special event. The series will address the problem of poverty in our world today. A most timely exploration given the overflow of horrible consequences from the Ebola pandemic.

I believe the event is free. All information, the program, and the avenue for registration are found at:

www.tuskegee.edu/GWCLS

Feel free to pass on the info to others who might be interested. Even if you cannot come, knowing that these topics are being broached is itself most laudable and inspiring.

Regards,
Dr. Ed Gabriele
