Post Award Financial, Assistant Director
Job Description
The Post Award Financial Assistant Director is responsible for budgeting of sponsored awards and communication of all grant terms and conditions to the researcher. Provides support during the research period of performance for revisions to budget, extensions, changes of scope or objective, interfacing with the researcher, sponsoring agency and other University offices. Provides support for the review of labor, procurement, and other transactions occurring during the life of the grant, exercising Office of Research delegations of authority for approval of transactions. Develops and provides financial projections to faculty and researchers to effectively monitor use of grant funding and planning across multiple programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field required. Will consider equivalent combinations of education and experience.
Experience: At least 3 years of financial budgeting experience in research or sponsored program administration in an academic or similar environment.
Other qualifications include: knowledge of and ability to analyze and interpret federal and non-federal regulations; ability to use and assist others with using multiple internal and external systems used in research administration; strong financial management skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interface effectively with multiple faculty and staff, as well as sponsoring agencies, on issues within the area of sponsored research in a cooperative, responsible manner; organizational, time management, and prioritization skills; strong computer skills including Word/Excel and other basis software and project management skills.
Must have the ability to work under the pressure of internal and external deadlines in a calm, efficient and confident manner and to work independently and with a variety of individuals.

Post-Award Grants Program Manager
Job Description
The Post-Award Grants Program Manager is responsible for various aspects of grants and sponsored projects administration. The Post-Award Grants Program Manager provides support to researchers, departmental and center/institute administrators, and central office functions regarding allowability, allocability, and transactional processing on research-related programmatic needs. The support includes providing guidance on policy in addition to completing appropriate documents, initiating transactions, and shepherding operational needs through administrative processes. The Post-Award Grants Program Manager provides assistance to researchers in coordinating activities of the research program. The Post-Award Grants Program Manager works cooperatively and collaboratively with other units in the Office of Research to provide seamless support to researchers for all research-related needs including budgeting of sponsored award and communication of all grant terms and conditions to the researcher. In addition this position provides support during the research program for revisions to budget, extensions, changes of scope or objective, interfacing with the researcher, sponsoring agency and other University offices.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required.  Will consider equivalent combinations of education and experience. Experience:  At least 3 years of experience working in research or program administration in an academic or similar environment. Experience with ordering, transaction support, processing expense reimbursements and hiring of personnel required.
Other qualifications include:  a working knowledge of the primary suite of Microsoft Office programs; strong computer skills; a pleasant personality, professional appearance and manner; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interface effectively with multiple faculty and staff, as well as other agencies, on issues in a cooperative, responsible manner and strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
Must have the ability to: multi-task; learn new web-based internal and external software programs; attend meetings and meet with faculty/staff in several different buildings on campus on the same day; exercise independent judgment and have a willingness to take the initiative to handle routine and new tasks; interact effectively with a variety of personality types; correctly prioritize multiple ongoing projects with frequent interruptions; use standard office equipment; use multiple resources to solve problems and obtain information; be a resource across a wide spectrum of disciplines and duties; successfully work independently and in a team environment and work under the pressure of internal and external deadlines in a calm, efficient and confident manner.
