At the University of Richmond, we have a long-standing Arts & Sciences Faculty Research Committee that awards summer stipends, research grants, and travel awards for presentations abroad at international meetings. I sit as a non-voting member of this committee; it is very helpful for me to know what research is going on that I haven't seen in the external grant seeking group. I also help inform the committee about what external funding might be available for (or has already been secured by) applicants.

I’m looking for any information you might be able to share.  Specifically who is eligible? Application guidelines? Funding amounts? Length of project period? Any terms and conditions? Pitfalls to avoid or things you wish you had thought of before launching?
