Hi Trish,

Your assumption is correct. It is merely an estimate at the concept paper stage.

If the PI is invited to submit a full application, that is where the cost information is important (and you would defer to the FOA instructions). If the proposal is going to be funded, the ARPA-E may ask that the budget be revised.

Hi All -

I have an ARPA-E Concept paper due for DE-FOA-0000949.  The FOA doesn't state that a cost estimate is required, but the ARPA Exchange

It looks like we need to submit overall cost information.  Is that assumption correct?  If so, do any of you have experience in how binding those numbers are?

The FOA FAQ is silent on the matter, and ARPA-E does not answer questions within the 5 days prior to a deadline.
