Q: If I am submitting a grant application from a foreign institution am I required to obtain a DUNS number?

A: A DUNS number is not required for foreign institutions.

Subject: [RESADM-L] foreign subcontracts on NIH Awards

Can someone tell me what to do with a foreign consortium that doesn’t have a DUNS number when it comes to an R01 application?  What do we use in lieu of them not having a DUNS?  And there is no time to get one prior to deadline.  Thanks!
