Georgetown University's Office of Sponsored Programs is seeking a
Senior Grants and Contracts Administrator.

Position Description:

The Senior Grants and Contracts Administrator is responsible for
reviewing, executing and submitting faculty proposals to external
government, private and industrial sponsors; negotiating and
administering all incoming externally-funded grants and contracts;
developing teaming and consortium agreements; verifying or performing
various compliance checks related to conflict of interest, export
controls, private use, tax and other federal initiatives; reviewing
outgoing subawards and any ancillary legal documents; serving as the
primary liaison with the external sponsor for all official
communication; interpreting and applying University and sponsor
policies; and learning and mastering a wide variety of government
proposal and award databases.  This position has primary oversight
annually of $32 million in new and on-going research funding and $20
million in outgoing proposals.

Position Requirements:

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and five years of
progressively responsible experience or eight years of progressively
responsible experience in a university or other non-profit preaward
grants and contracts office, demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft
products and the use  of databases and electronic systems of
Grants.gov, the National Science Foundation and the National
Institutes of Health; and proficiency with the Federal Acquisition
Regulations, the OMB Circulars, and the Code of Federal Regulations.
Experience with PeopleSoft products is highly desired.  Essential also
are excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to
work independently, to prioritize work, manage deadlines in a
semi-stressful environment, and to diplomatically juggle complex
situations involving the competing interests of faculty during periods
of high volume.  Experience in negotiating government contracts
including IDIQ, task order contracts is highly desired.
