Probably knowing more than I did 10 years ago and maximizing the importance of connecting the impact of the grant with both the grantor and the college community. Do your students know that they are able to do "this" as a result of the funding received? Do your faculty know that the funded curriculum development will help faculty at other schools create similar programs? Does your funder know that three students participating in the funded program have placed higher in graduate school admissions because of the training supported by the grant?
It's all about connecting the dots! Good luck!

Subject: [RESADM-L] Help with Presentation?????
Good morning,
I will be doing a presentation for an Association for Fundraising Professionals group. I have been asked to speak on this topic:
"Grant Writing: Building and Sustaining a Relationship with Your Grantors"
If you looked back on what you did 10 years ago, what are the most important things you are doing now that you may not have been doing then?
Sage advice and the wisdom of experience is greatly appreciated. I will compile the responses and post.
Best!
Maria
