The sub would be limited by the sponsor as well. 15% indirects.

Maybe this will help, but I believe the rule is just 15% limited indirects are charged by the prime applicant and the sub charges as they would normally because they are receiving money from the prime and not the sponsor. So, the sub would not be limited by the sponsor.

Dear Colleagues,
Has anyone applied for or will apply for a Templeton Foundation Grant and had a subcontract to include in the budget template?
We are curious how you worked with the 15% indirect cap on the whole grant or were you able to add in additional indirect for the subaward? Also, if so, how did you add this into their template?
We are perplexed as to how to work this. In our eyes, either we keep the indirect, they get their indirect, or we split it. Any thoughts?
